Chopta – Tungnath – Chandrashila Trek is nestled in the breathtaking Garhwal Himalayas of Uttarakhand, offering stunning views of snow-capped Himalayan peaks and lush alpine meadows. This easy-to-moderate trek is ideal for beginners while also being a paradise for nature lovers, photographers, and spiritual seekers. Accessible for most of the year, it is one of Uttarakhand’s most rewarding short treks.

The trek leads to Tungnath Temple, the highest Shiva temple in the world, situated at an altitude of 3,680 metres. It is also the third temple in the revered Panch Kedar pilgrimage circuit. From Tungnath, a short uphill hike takes you to Chandrashila Summit at approximately 4,000 metres, where you are rewarded with breathtaking 360-degree panoramic views of the majestic Himalayan ranges, including Nanda Devi, Chaukhamba, Kedarnath, Trishul, and Bandarpoonch peaks.
